Boat Hull & Pontoon Cleaning

Pickwick Lake boats grow scum fast. Pontoon tubes turn green or black over a hot July. Fiberglass hulls develop a waterline stripe that won't come off with a sponge. We clean fiberglass and aluminum hulls, pontoon tubes, and deck surfaces — usually in the same visit as your dock cleaning.

Pontoon Tubes

Aluminum pontoon tubes develop a green-black coating from algae and waterline scum. It looks bad and gets worse over the season. We clean tubes with aluminum-safe acid wash and pressure rinse — the right method to bring the aluminum back to shine without etching the metal. Tubes look like new again, and the cleaner finish actually performs better in the water.

Tube cleaning works best when the boat is on a lift or pulled. If your boat sits in the slip year-round, we can still clean what's accessible but a full restoration usually means scheduling around a lift trip.

Fiberglass Hulls

The waterline stripe on fiberglass hulls is some combination of mineral deposits, algae, and rust. Sponges and basic cleaners don't touch it. We use marine-grade fiberglass cleaner and the right technique to lift the stripe without scuffing the gelcoat.

For older boats with oxidized gelcoat (chalky, dull surface), we can clean and brighten but not buff — full polish-and-wax restoration is a marine detailer's job, not ours.

What We Clean on Boats

What We Don't Do

Schedule a Pre-Season Boat Cleaning

The most common request is a spring "ready for the season" cleaning — pontoon tubes, deck, hull, trailer. Bundled with dock cleaning it's a half-day job that gets the whole waterfront ready for family weekends.

How We Price It

By boat size and type. Pontoon-tube acid wash + deck cleaning is the most common. Written quote in advance. Here's how our quotes work.
